During the summer of 2003, Telford Dyslexia Academy applied for funding
from the Local Network Fund. We were very lucky, receiving a grant of
£7000 to purchase new resources (including 2 laptops and software)
and also to subsidise places for children whose parents receive means-
tested government benefits.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the bid a success!
This was held on December 6th in the lobby of [TCAT]
and was a great success! The children from the group sessions had all
worked very hard designing and creating Fair games and Christmas decorations.
We also had stalls from local companies Formative Fun and Crossbow Education.
A steady stream of visitors helped us to raise an amazing £143,
which will now be used for purchasing book tapes for the Academy
Audio tape library.
