Some children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) find it difficult to cope at school, leading to stress and loss of confidence. Our aim is to raise self-esteem and promote a positive attitude towards learning. We do this through encouraging children to recognise and develop their strengths, wherever they may lie.
We try to inject the sparkle and fun back into learning, by using games to reinforce concepts, or introducing strategies that students may not have been shown before.
Each teacher tailors learning experiences to the individual needs
of each child, whether educational or social/emotional. They focus
upon literacy and numeracy skills, along with promotion of self-awareness,
confidence and self-advocacy.
