Telford Dyslexia Academy is a charity affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association and Shropshire Dyslexia Association (Charity number 513065). The Academy provides one-to-one or small-group support and education for children aged six to sixteen with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).
Telford Dyslexia Academy is run by a voluntary committee, comprised mainly of teaching staff and some parents.
The Academy takes place on Saturday mornings between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm during term time.
We are based in room A104 at Telford College of Arts and Technology, Haybridge Road, Wellington, Telford.
All our teachers have a teaching qualification and/or a qualification in
supporting students with dyslexia. In addition, some teachers, through personal
experience, have expertise in working with dyspraxia.
All staff are police-checked.
