Welcome to the Telford Dyslexia Academy Website

Telford Dyslexia Academy is a charity affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association and Shropshire Dyslexia Association (Charity number 513065). The Academy provides one-to-one or small-group support and education for children aged six to sixteen with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD).

Who runs the Academy?

Telford Dyslexia Academy is run by a voluntary committee, comprised mainly of teaching staff and some parents.

When does the Academy take place?

The Academy takes place on Saturday mornings between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm during term time.

Where are we?

We are based in room A104 at Telford College of Arts and Technology, Haybridge Road, Wellington, Telford.

Who are the teachers?

All our teachers have a teaching qualification and/or a qualification in supporting students with dyslexia. In addition, some teachers, through personal experience, have expertise in working with dyspraxia.
All staff are police-checked.
